Challenging Walk of 18 + miles, depending on weather conditions. This is mostly open country, with some of the best scenery in the Peak District. There are some rough tracks, no shelter from hot sun or rain so please be well equipped and carry enough food and drink for the day.

Route: From Hayfield we follow stage 3 of the Peak District Boundary Walk to Old Glossop which is 9 mile. From old Glossop the walk will circle back on a different route and across the lovely moors back to Hayfield.

For our annual summer gathering and celebration of the walking year, we have a new venue - Baslow Village Hall. We have the hire of the Hall all day. There are so many options for lovely walks in this area and the Village Hall provides all the facilities we require regardless of the weather. As with previous Summer events please bring along food/your signature dishes to share and support the event: we would encourage a balance of sweet and savoury dishes please. The Hall has toilets, kitchen, tables and chairs. This includes the facilities to heat food and make hot drinks. There is also a garden area and up to 20 free car parking spaces. The format will be:
- before the start of your chosen walk, leave your food in the kitchen in the Hall
- long, medium and short circular walks, starting from and returning to the Hall for around 4.30 - 5.00pm - see website for walk details
- no boots allowed in the Hall
- after your walk, relax, chat, share food & drink and enjoy!

This is a ticketed event to cover the cost of hiring the hall, supply of sundries, i.e. tea, coffee, milk and hot some food, and entry to the raffle. The ticket price is £3. Tickets are available from Bob & Heather Ingram and other Committee members particularly Andrew Yeoman and Diane Jackson. More details of times, walks and food arrangements to follow.

WALK DETAILS: 21 miles, mostly grass, trail and farm tracks with 2700ft ascent over the whole walk. Plenty of WC's on route, cafe/picnic lunch, plus a short break in Eyam.
ROUTE: Bakewell, Little Longstone, Peter's Stone, Eyam, Baslow, Returning to start.
