This walk is a repeat of the one 2 weeks ago so we can max out on the bluebells which are in abundance in the woods and we can offer an alternative to Tuesday night for an evening walk. The pretty walk takes us through hilly farmland and woodland around Hartshorne, just north of Swadlincote. We will be walking through fields with possibly horses, cows and lambs so unfortunately this is not really a dog friendly walk. It may get dark as we are finishing so bring your head torch.

For our annual summer gathering and celebration of the walking year, we have a new venue - Baslow Village Hall. We have the hire of the Hall all day. There are so many options for lovely walks in this area and the Village Hall provides all the facilities we require regardless of the weather. As with previous Summer events please bring along food/your signature dishes to share and support the event: we would encourage a balance of sweet and savoury dishes please. The Hall has toilets, kitchen, tables and chairs. This includes the facilities to heat food and make hot drinks. There is also a garden area and up to 20 free car parking spaces. The format will be:
- before the start of your chosen walk, leave your food in the kitchen in the Hall
- long, medium and short circular walks, starting from and returning to the Hall(exact start times and routes to be confirmed nearer the time)
- after your walk, relax, chat, share food & drink and enjoy!

This is a ticketed event to cover the cost of hiring the hall, supply of sundries, i.e. tea, coffee, milk and hot some food, and entry to the raffle. The ticket price is £3. Please note: The walk is only suitable for experienced walkers, there is little or no shelter on route and no amenities whatsoever. Ample food and drink will need to be carried, as well as waterproofs, good footwear and sunscreen and a hat is recommended.
